How It Works
After paying your deposit, please:
Complete the order form here: https://forms.gle/Z4fC43Bc6EZNKkv69
Email your photos to apinchofart@outlook.com (at their full file size, try to avoid screenshots or social media images).
Submit your photos within one week—if you need more time, please let me know.
Once your form and photos have been reviewed, I’ll contact you to confirm details and provide a quote.
After you accept the quote, an invoice for the remaining balance will be sent to secure your slot.
Turnaround time is approximately 12 weeks from full payment. I’ll do my best to accommodate special dates where possible.
You'll receive a proof image of your portrait to review. Up to two revisions can be made free of charge, however changes must stay within the original brief, and reference photos cannot be altered once work has begun.
You’ll receive your high-resolution digital file to download, suitable for printing up to poster size while maintaining excellent quality. If you've purchased a fine art print or canvas, these will be shipped to you.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. I can’t wait to create your special picture!
What photos work best?
My top tips:
- The most important part is to ensure that each person's facial features are clearly shown.
- If sending only a close up send further images for body reference.
- Always submit the original photo at full file size, no screenshots.
- Avoid submitting selfies or filtered photos.
- Submit the full photo and specify who is to be included rather than cropping.
- Choose photos taken from similar perspectives.
- If submitting old, non digitalised photographs, ensure to scan them in to retain quality.
Taking new photos for your portrait?
- Have a think about how you'd like the person to look in the final outcome. Will they be standing, sitting? Position them accordingly.
- Take your photo in natural lighting, avoid heavy sunlight or harsh shadows.
- If taking photos indoors position your subject facing a window.
- Take the photo at their eye level, especially important for children.
Can my old, blurry photo be used?
Possibly! Whilst the best outcome does come from clear, high resolution photos I do understand that this isn't always possible. I have a lot of experience working with old photographs due to the nature of my work. I do recommend all non digitalised photos are scanned in to retain quality.
Terms and Conditions
Refund/Return Policy
All portraits are fully personalised and created based on the photos and brief provided by the customer. Due to the bespoke nature of the work, all sales are final. Refunds or returns are not available.
If you're unhappy with your portrait for any reason, please notify me upon receiving your proof. Two revisions are included free of charge. This excludes changes that differ from or were not included in your original brief and does not include the changing of reference images. Significant or additional changes may incur an extra fee.
Once the proof is approved, no further changes can be made, and the artwork will be considered final.
Reference Photos and Brief
Once work has commenced, reference photos and the submitted brief cannot be changed. Any changes requested after this point may not be accommodated or may incur an additional fee.
Photo Responsibility
You are responsible for the photos you submit. The quality, clarity, and accuracy of submitted images directly affect the final result. High-quality, well-lit photos will produce the best outcome.
You confirm that you have the rights or permission to use and submit any photos provided, and that they do not infringe on any third-party copyright or privacy rights.
Turnaround Time
Once work has begun, the approximate turnaround time is 12 weeks. While every effort will be made to accommodate earlier completion for special dates, this depends on availability and workload.
Please note that turnaround times are estimates and may vary due to unforeseen circumstances. You will be notified of any significant delays.
Deposit and Payment
A deposit is required to secure your order. The remaining balance must be paid in full before the final portrait is delivered. The deposit is non-refundable, except in the unlikely event that the submitted photos cannot be used.
No artwork will be released until full payment has been received.
